Missing Hobe Sound Woman

HOBE SOUND — Martin County Sheriff’s deputies are continuing to search for a Hobe Sound woman who was reported missing Wednesday after she failed to pick up her 2-year-old daughter. Deputies canvassed several areas Thursday and continue to do so early Friday in an attempt to locate 30-year-old Tricia Todd. Todd dropped off her child with her ex-husband late Tuesday and was supposed to pick the child up on Wednesday morning, Martin County Sheriff William Snyder said.  Martin County deputies are searching for Tricia Todd, who went missing on Wednesday. Todd’s whereabouts remained unknown Wednesday and her family contacted authorities. Deputies found her car parked near her home in the Hobe Village mobile home park. The keys were in the ignition and Todd’s purse was inside, but her wallet was missing, Snyder said.

She is listed as missing under suspicious circumstances. Investigators are trying to determine whether Todd left on her own, Snyder said. They examinined her car and home, as well as checked her cellphone and credit card usage. Her ex-husband, who serves as an airman, was scheduled to return to North Carolina and left the child in the care of another family member, Snyder said. According to a missing person flyer, Todd is an Air Force veteran and a registered hospice nurse.  A Facebook page has been set up for information regarding the search.
